FAQ aesthetic solutions

+ Tattoo Removal

1). Is it possible to completely eliminate a tattoo in a single session?

The removal of tattoos is a treatment that includes on average 3 sessions. The number of sessions depends on the depth of application, the composition of the dye and the age of the tattoo. Sessions should be 2-6 months apart. After a first session, the tattoo clears up.

2). Tattoos of which colour are eliminated under the effect of the laser?

Our lasers perfectly eliminate black and coloured tattoos.

3). How long does the treatment take to completely eliminate a tattoo?

The duration of a complete treatment for the removal of a tattoo depends on its age, the conditions of its application, the type of dye, the location and the area covered.
For a total elimination, it is necessary to expect at least three sessions, spaced apart from 2 to 6 months. The duration of a session is at least 15 minutes, depending on the surface to be treated.

4). Can we remove eye/eyebrow tattoos using the laser?

The method for the laser removal of tattoos, used at “LINLINE” medical laser clinics, makes it possible in particular to eliminate the permanent makeup of the eyebrows and the lips. The tattoo of the eyes is, unfortunately, impossible to eliminate. The problem is that the area of action directly affects the retina and there is no laser presently available capable of treating this area without great risk to the eyes.

5). Does laser tattoo removal leave scars on the skin?

The laser tattoo removal method used in our clinics is selective, i.e. it only destroys the tattoo dye and has no effect on the skin and the surrounding tissues. It does not leave burns, scars or pigment spots.

+ Hair removal

1). Does the QOOL-epilation permanently remove the hairs?

LINLINE clinics have not used the laser hair removal method for sufficient time (10 years) to assert with certainty that hair removal is definitive. Moreover, researchers have so far failed to prove whether, in principle, one could speak of definitive hair removal or not. For the sake of honesty towards our clients, we prefer to speak of a stopping of hair growth in the long term. The effect of QOOL-epilation hair removal will differ in terms of duration for each subject treated. Indeed, each individual has their own specificities and there is not a single, but several factors that influence the growth of the hairs. Many of our clients who have benefited from the treatment have the chance to enjoy a clean and smooth skin for several years. If some insolated hair can appear periodically, they can be quickly eliminated during maintenance sessions.

2). How many sessions are needed to get rid of unwanted hair permanently?

QOOL –epilation hair removal requires at least 5 sessions, spaced two to three weeks at the beginning and then depending on hair growth. It is the doctor who can determine, in the course of a prior consultation, the number of sessions required according to the individual specificities. At the end of the cycle of sessions prescribed by the doctor, the hairs will not grow for a long period (15 years on average).

3). Can one tan before QOOL-epilation?

Yes, it sounds incredible, but you can sunbathe in a UV cabin or in the sun before and after the session!

Indeed, the tint of the skin and the intensity of the tan have no importance for QOOL-epilation. It is the first method of hair removal in the world that can be performed on skins of phototype VI, that is to say a black skin.

Tanning is an obstacle for most other lasers or photo-epilation methods that only work on the combination of “white skin – dark hair”.

4). Is the skin irritated after QOOL-epilation?

After a QOOL-epilation, the skin is not irritated, since the treatment only affects the hair itself and its reproductive system, the surrounding tissues are not affected and not damaged. This method also excludes the formation of ingrowing hairs.

5). Is epilation of the bikini area possible with the QOOL-epilation method?

Yes of course! Laser hair removal in the bikini area is one of the most popular treatments at LINLINE medical laser clinics. Tens of thousands of patients have already benefited.

We are convinced that QOOL-epilation is the best choice for intimate epilation. It is as if it had been specially designed for the most delicate parts of a woman’s skin. The morning before the session, or the night before, the hairs must be carefully shaved – this will guarantee the absence of any painful sensations even in the most sensitive places. It is also important to keep the skin clean and dry: avoid applying moisturising creams or other care products on the day of the session and the day before. Indeed, we do not know what substances are used in the composition of the products you use. Applying a foreign substance to the skin can clog the pores, alter the penetration of the laser beam and cause discomfort and irritation. Let your skin be natural and you will get the best effect of laser hair removal.

6). Does the price of the hair removal indicated on the site concern a session or a course of sessions?

The price indicated relates to one QOOL-epilation hair removal session.

7). On which hairs can QOOL-epilation be performed?

The colour of the hairs determines the type of laser used, but for the method of QOOL-epilation, it does not matter. Only grey hairs cannot be treated.

8). What is the effect after a hair removal session?

As you are probably aware, hair growth is cyclic: after a growth phase (anagen phase) there is a short transition period (catagen phase) followed by a resting phase (telogen phase), after the hair has stopped growing it falls out. At the end of the telogen phase, a new hair begins to grow in the follicle. Facial hair has a relatively short telogenic period, while it lasts longer for armpit and pubic hair.

We can act on the hair only when it is in active growth phase, because it is at this precise moment that it forms its pigmentation and therefore the concentration of melanin is at its strongest. This is why, during the first session, we can eliminate all hairs in the active phase of growth.

It should be remembered that the hair removal procedure must be repeated several times and its effect can only be appreciated after following several sessions, recommended by the doctor. What will be the advantage of removing some of the bristles that are in the active phase of development at the time of treatment? Depending on their location on the body, they represent barely 10-30% of the total hairs to be eliminated. Then, when the hairs, resting at the first session, have fallen out, new hairs will grow and they will also have to be eliminated.

Between the phases of hair growth, the skin remains clear. But for how long? This depends on the location of the hairs, since the phases follow one another at different rates depending on the area of the body. In general, this is done over a period of 1 to 3 months and sometimes over 6 months.

After a first session, we usually recommend repeating the treatment a short time afterwards (one week or 15 days). To do what? The fact is that during the first session, a few random hairs could escape treatment, especially on larger areas, such as the legs and back in men. In addition, laser radiation stimulates the growth of some of the hairs, which at the time of treatment had not yet grown and to which we gave a small boost.

9). What preparation and what care is required for QOOL-epilation?

Firstly, it is essential to shave the hairs of the zone to be treated, so that the length of the hairs on the day of the session does not exceed 1 -2 mm.

Secondly, the skin should be well dried and clean. On the day of the session (or rather the evening before) no moisturiser, or other skin care products should have be applied to the area. Indeed, we do not know what substances are used in the composition of your creams and other care products. Applying a foreign substance to the skin can clog pores, alter the penetration of the laser beam and cause discomfort. Let your skin be natural and you will get the best epilation effect.

No further preparation is required. You can go about your usual activities, sunbathe or visit tanning salons on the very day of the session.

No special care is necessary after the procedure.

10). What does the bikini area include?

The area of the integral bikini area includes the region of the perineum and the groin that is except the perianal area. To make the bikini line means to remove the hairs along the line of the bikini.

11). What type of laser is used for QOOL-epilation hair removal?

We use high-power solid-state lasers developed by LINLINE. Depending on the type of skin and hair, one of the three types of laser is selected: Neodymium, Alexandrite or Ruby. These lasers operate under a special patented mode that generates nanosecond pulse sequences to destroy the hair without heating or damaging the skin in any way.

12). ELOS Hair Removal or QOOL-epilation – what to choose for dark or tanned skin?

ELOS hair removal is a system of epilation in which the hair follicle is destroyed by the simultaneous effect of energy released by pulsed light at high frequency and electric current. “ELOS” is an abbreviation for electric and optical synergy, which is the basis of the ELOS hair removal method. “Electric” indicates the presence of bipolar radio frequency radiation; “Optical” refers to the energy of the pulsed light. ELOS is therefore the combination of two types of energy. This is why ELOS hair removal is distinguished from other hair removal methods, based only on light energy (laser or photo), or only on radio energy.

Like many other methods of hair removal, ELOS hair removal is not practiced on much tanned skins. You have to avoid tanning 15 days before and 15 days after the session, as this can greatly reduce its effectiveness. In addition, treating a tanned skin carries the risk of causing burns, pigmented spots and scars.

Therefore, if you like to stay tanned, you might prefer the QOOL-epilation service which is the first method in the world to be used not only on tanned skin but also on naturally dark or black skin. At the end of the session, you can safely go sunbathing or visit tanning salons.

+ Acne Treatment

1). How many sessions are needed for the treatment of acne?

The treatment of acne by laser is a program of 2 to 4 sessions, at the rate of one session per week. Sometimes a visible result can be obtained from the first session. The treatment program depends on the level of severity of the disease and is determined by the physician during the prior consultation.

2). Is it true that 3 or 4 sessions of laser treatment permanently rid the acne problems?

The treatment of acne requires a complex approach: in addition to treatment of external signs, internal treatment is also prescribed, which may include medical tests to be submitted for diagnosis, taking medication, and a specific regimen to follow. The complex approach ensures the total cure for acne.

Laser treatment helps to fight against the external signs of the disease, helps to suppress inflammation, regulates the production of sebum and prevents complications such as scars or cyanotic spots. We also have cosmetic treatments for problem skins.

3). Can we start the treatment of acne during the inflammatory process on the face?

The presence of inflammation is specifically indicated for the treatment of acne by laser. When the inflammation disappears, a cosmetic treatment is prescribed.

4). How do the “stagnant” stains left by the pimples disappear?

+ laser Peeling

1). Can one undergo a peel to eliminate acne scars, if acne eruptions still arise sometimes?

It is not desirable to perform a laser peel session in the presence of inflammatory elements on the face. During the preliminary consultation, the dermatocosmetologist may indicate a preparatory treatment to suppress the inflammation.

2). Can a laser peel session be performed in the summer?

Laser peeling is not recommended in the summer because of the risk of hyperpigmentation, this is important. Sessions usually take place when the intensity of solar activity decreases.

3). How long after chickenpox is the scarring cleared?

Usually, a laser peeling session can be performed after chickenpox, at the end of the healing period.

4). Do you need to take a preparatory course before the peeling session?

The treatment to be followed before a peel is determined by the doctor on a case-by-case basis, depending on the condition of the skin. It may include mechanical cleansing, mesotherapy, or any other care that will ensure the comfort of recovery.

5). How many laser peeling sessions should I follow?

Laser peeling can be done in one session or during a program of several sessions depending on the condition of the skin. If several sessions are recommended, they should be spaced approximately one month apart. During the consultation, the doctor determines the number of sessions and the depth of treatment.

+ Treatment of Pigmented Lesions

1). What treatments can be followed to remove freckles?

We remove the solar lentigo (brown spots) using the laser. The action of the laser destroys the excess melanin granules in the skin without damaging the surrounding tissues. Treatment includes an average of three sessions at three-week intervals. During the consultation, the doctor defines the number of sessions required for the patient.

2). How many sessions are required to remove pigmented spots?

The treatment of the pigmented lesions takes place in three sessions, at three weeks intervals. During the entire treatment period, tanning is not recommended.

+ Scar Removal

1). How to get rid of deep scars left by acne?

The laser peel helps to eliminate acne scars. The laser beam vaporises the superficial layers of the skin, which regenerates and is completely renewed. If the scars are very deep, it will take a number of sessions for an optimal result. The procedure is safe.

In a preliminary consultation, the physician evaluates the need and the number of sessions and predicts the results that will be obtained. In addition, the MULTILINE laser platform ensures a strict control of the penetration depth of the radiation, which precludes any risk of burning, scarring or pigmentation.

2). When is it best to proceed with the removal of a scar?

It is advisable to consult a dermatocosmetologist immediately after the removal of the sutures.

3). Is it possible to get rid of acne scars in one laser session?

Everything will depend on the depth and size of the scars. Laser peeling can be done in one session or during a program of sessions, depending on the condition of the skin. During the consultation, the doctor determines the depth of application of the treatment, the number of sessions and the possible outcome.

+ Removal of Stretch Marks

1). What stretch marks treatments do you offer?

LINLINE medical laser clinics use various methods for the treatment of stretch marks: laser (RecoSMA® rejuvenation, smoothing) and cosmetology (depressomassage, mesotherapy, mechanical peeling with herbs), coordinated according to a treatment program. The doctor determines the treatment program to be followed and the duration of the treatment during a prior consultation.

2). Which stretch marks are best eliminated: “young” or “old”?

The treatment of stretch marks is better begun while the scar tissue is not completely formed, when they still have a reddish tint. In this case, therapeutic treatments such as massage and mesotherapy will also be able to overcome it and the treatment will be faster.

+ RecoSMA Rejuvenation

1). Stretch marks … Have you heard about “Love your lines”?

“Love the skin you are in!” A new photo blog about women who desperately seeked to get rid of stretch marks, and who are finally reconciled with these aesthetic imperfections.

Do you accept yourself as you are? Stretch marks that fit my waist, legs and buttocks … There’s nothing wrong with that, they are just a part of me, and I have finally accepted them. Love your skin! (From the original: “Love the skin you are in!”) ….

I am 25 years old, without children. I have had stretch marks since school. I am shy and usually hide them with cocoa butter. But now I have learned to accept their presence. Now I can go to the beach, without hiding them from prying eyes. They are beautiful and they will always be part of me.

I have had stretch marks since I was 14, although I have always been very thin. I was teased at school. In college, I met a nice boy, and he said “Your stretch marks – they are part of you and they make you more beautiful.” I thank him, I stopped complaining. Now I go to the beach and do not worry about what I look like because stretch marks are part of being a real woman.

I am a mother of three children, and with each pregnancy I gained more than 7 kilos. This overweight was successfully defeated but left marks … I try to see their beauty.

These are excerpts from an Instagram account “Love your lines” (http://instagram.com/loveyourlines/), containing the confessions of women and photographs of their bodies in black and white. What unites them? They have suffered all their lives, believing themselves imperfect and even ugly to have stretch marks on their thighs, abdomen and other parts of the body. These white marks made them unhappy. But now, finally, it was time to say to the world: “Enough, I am tired, I accept myself as I am and I like it.”

Many comments from this blog have been controversial, from full acceptance and even enthusiasm, to insults against these individuals, no doubt beautiful women. The reaction from a stormy public is easily explained. Lately there have been protest voices: “Stop punishing your body”, “Stop all this news about the beauty industry”, “Don’t hurt women by making them feel inferior” etc … Publicised on all the youth and beauty channels worsens these prejudices more and more … And if this situation is without issue, and the only way to protect yourself is to escape, to recognise defeat, to relax, even to surrender … But will we be happier by doing the same? That’s the question.

We believe

It is normal that women seek to improve their appearance. It is inherent in the very nature of being a woman. The problem is that many women are deceived by the beauty industry. Stretch marks are one of the most serious aesthetic problems (basically scarring, the connective tissue gives them the white colour). Extended scars, especially those such as deep stretch marks are difficult to reveal publically. How many widely used advertised creams, scrubs, superficial peels and mesotherapy – to get rid of stretch marks-are advertised? Deep chemical peels are very painful, with risks of complications, and involve a long recovery period.

All this has changed with the development of laser nanoperforation. This is the first procedure in the world which restores damaged biological tissue. It has been revealed not only to rejuvenate the skin, but also to treat a variety of scars, trophic ulcers, pressure sores, to clean wounds, etc. We have been using it for several years, and we can speak with confidence about the excellent results. The laser allows the body to reconstruct the skin to the state in which it should appear. The results were evaluated using histological studies to confirm unequivocally that there is a gradual replacement with healthy tissue.

Some examples of our work …

It is good that the nature of a woman has this desire for perfection. After all, aiming at the inaccessible, we can achieve it and change our lives for the better. In the end, it is the massive demand for “youth and beauty” that forces scientists all over the world to seek, explore and discover. Perhaps too, it is not so far away the day when “Eternal Youth” will be one of the the most popular services … Who knows?

2). How does RecoSMA® differ from the thermo-lifting?

Thermo-lifting and RecoSMA® are radically different methods of action.

Thermo-lifting is based on the action of radiofrequency waves causing the coagulation of proteins. The skin is temporarily firmed but the effects of the treatment may be unpredictable afterwards.

The RecoSMA® is based on the action of the laser which creates a multitude of micro-spots (less than a human cell, there are approximately 10,000 per each square centimetre) in the skin, to trigger a process of rapid tissue regeneration. The result is a striking effect of rejuvenation that lasts for several years. Most remarkable is that the RecoSMA ®session is absolutely painless and the recovery period is only 2 to 3 days.

3). Can RecoSMA® be used in spring and summer?

The treatment can be carried out all year round, without taking into account any solar activity.

4). Does the RecoSMA® have a lifting effect?

RecoSMA® tightens the skin. The treatment gives a pronounced lifting effect and even smooths out deep wrinkles such as nasolabial folds.

5). Is the RecoSMA ® suitable for the upper eyelids?

In particular, RecoSMA® laser treatment can be performed on the area around the eye (with the exception of the mobile eyelid), which makes it possible to tighten the skin in this area. During the consultation, the doctor will be able to determine if the treatment is indicated for your personal case and if it can be applied for this purpose, depending on the condition of the skin.

6). How long after a SMAS facelift should you wait to perform the SMA rejuvenation?

It is possible to carry out RecoSMA ® treatment one to two months after the SMAS lifting.

7). Does RecoSMA® help to get rid of expression lines?

RecoSMA ® is not designed to eliminate wrinkles: it’s your organism that will do it on its own, after the RecoSMA® has helped to “wake it up.”

RecoSMA® technology is designed to stimulate the skin with a beam of directed light. The result is an increase in the production of collagen, the substance responsible for the elasticity of our skin. Thus, without the slightest operation, the skin “rejuvenates”, filling wrinkles with collagen. Expression wrinkles are formed by the active work of facial muscles that can be relaxed by injections of Botulinum toxin and Dysport. RecoSMA ® and injection methods can be complemented effectively.

8). What distinguishes RecoSMA ® from fractional thermolysis?

RecoSMA ® and fractional thermolysis have a common goal: to combat age-related changes – tighten skin, smooth wrinkles and reduce pores. Stimulating the formation of new collagen, these methods ensure a lifting effect. But their differences are significant.

Both RecoSMA ® and fractional thermolysis are laser techniques. They consist of creating microspots in the skin, without damaging it, in order to cause a regeneration reaction. The microspots created under the impulse of the laser trigger the process of intensive reconstruction of the structure of the skin on the whole surface treated. In this, the two methods are similar.

Their difference is in the diameter of the microbeams that act on the skin. The effect of the lifting depends to a large extent on the depth of radiation, the diameter and the amount of points touched in a pulse. The special feature of the Multiline™ medical laser used for RecoSMA ® is the application of an optical system to distribute the energy of the laser beam into microbeams with a diameter of less than 50 nanometres, i.e. thinner than a hair. This results in a number of micro-points per pulse per square centimetre in the number of 10,000. The apparatus by means of which fractional thermolysis is carried out makes it possible to reduce the diameter of the beams to 150-250 nanometres and to obtain about one thousand points per square centimetre.

With a beam diameter of only a few tens of nanometres, the skin remains visibly unaltered. Another advantage of RecoSMA ® is the absence of overheating of the treated area, which makes the RecoSMA® procedure painless compared to traditional fractional thermolysis.
